Plugin: Xenofex 2 Constellation

Font of choice - I am using PT Banana Split

 

 

Ready? Let's begin....

 

 

Open a new 500 x 500 blank canvas flood-filled white

 

Paste Paper of choice as new layer
Layers > Arrange > Send to Bottom

 

Layers > New Mask Layer > From Image
WSL_Mask34
OK

 

Open your Layer Palette and activate the Mask
Resize by 90%
Layers > Merge > Merge Group

 

STILL ON MASK LAYER

 

Effects > Texture Effects > Fine Leather with the following settings:

 

 

Then, Effects > Texture Effects > Mosaic Antique with the following settings:

 

 

Paste a LacePearlHeart as new layer
Resize by 50%

 

Paste HeartClip as new layer
Resize by 50%
Layers > Arrange > Move Down
Use Pick Tool (or Deformation Tool in some PSP versions) and use nodes to pull up or down to Frame Lace Heart

 

 

Paste a Bow as new layer
Resize by 30%
Layers > Arrange > Bring to top
Position with the bow in the top centre of Lace Heart

 

Duplicate, then Adjust > Hue & Saturation > Colourise with the following settings:

 

 

Set blend mode of layer to Screen then lower opacity to 60
Layers > Merge > Merge Down

 

Paste a Rose as new layer
Resize by 20%
Place in centre of bow

 

 

Paste a Flower as new layer
Resize by 25%
Position to the lower right
Duplicate and move slightly over
Duplicate again and move slightly up

 

Paste another Flower as new layer
Resize by 20%
Position in centre of the three flowers

 

Apply a drop shadow of choice to your layers

 

 

Paste a tube of choice as new layer
Resize as necessary
Position in the centre of heart covering the centre lace

 

Select your Text Tool and font of choice
I am using PT Banana Split
Choose two colours from your tag and set as Foreground and Background
I am using #ab4266 and #FFFFFF
Stroke width - 2.0

 

Type out your name
Objects > Align > Horizontal Centre in Canvas
Convert to raster layer
Apply a drop shadow of choice

 

Finally, add your © copyright, licence and watermark, then save as a GIF or JPG and you're done!

 

 

 

** IF YOU WISH TO ANIMATE PLEASE FOLLOW THESE NEXT STEPS **
 
Activate the Mask Layer
Duplicate twice and rename Sparkle1, Sparkle2 and Sparkle3
 
Hide Sparkle2 and Sparkle3 activating only Sparkle1
 
Effects > Plugins > Xenofex 2 > Constellation with the following settings:
 

 
Hide Sparkle1 and activate Sparkle2
Apply the Constellation effect, adjusting the Random Seed
 
Hide Sparkle2 and activate Sparkle3
Apply the Constellation effect again, adjusting the Random Seed once more
 
Hide Sparkle2 and Sparkle3 with only Sparkle1 visible
Edit > Copy Merged
 
Open Animation Shop
Edit > Paste as New Animation
 
Back to PSP
Hide Sparkle1 and activate Sparkle2
Edit > Copy Merged
 
In Animation Shop
Edit > Paste AFTER Current Frame
 
Back to PSP
Hide Sparkle2 and activate Sparkle3
Edit > Copy Merged
 
In Animation Shop
Edit > Paste AFTER Current Frame

 

Save as a GIF and you're done!

~ Step 1 ~

 

Open a new 600 x 600 blank canvas flood-filled white

 

Paste Circle-Copy as new layer
Resize by 60%

 

Paste Tree1 as new layer
Resize by 60%
Layers / Arrange / Move Down
Position behind Circle so the hearts are showing in a "spray"

 

 

 

~ Step 2 ~

Paste Heart1 as new layer
Resize by 15%
Position in lower right

 

Paste Heart2 as new layer
Resize by 15%
Position in lower right over first heart

 

Paste Bkg11 as new layer
Layers / Arrange / Send to Bottom

 

Layers / New Mask Layer / From Image
Locate WSL_Mask214
OK
Resize by 90%
Move Mask layer so that it is centralised behind the circle layer

 

Paste your tube as a new layer
Resize as necessary
Place in position

 

Lower opacity so you can see what you are doing
Use your Freehand Tool to draw along the bottom of the "frame"

 

Selections / Modify / Contract by 5
Selections / Modify / Feather by 5
Press delete twice
Deselect

 

Effects / Plugins / Xero / Improver
Default settings
Duplicate
Effects / Plugins / Xero / Soft Mood
Default settings
Set blend mode to Screen
Lower opacity to 55
(the blend mode and opacity will depend on your tube)

 

Paste Bow1 as new layer
Image / Mirror, then Image / Flip
Image / Rotate by 42 to the right
Resize by 30%
Position over the bow in the lower left as close as possibly can to the original bow

 

Grab your Magic Wand
Activate your tube layer and select the area around it
Activate your Circle Frame
Then delete and deselect

 

 

Paste Flower2 as new layer
Resize by 20%
LEAVE IN POSITION
Paste Flower4 as new layer
Resize by 15%
Layers / Merge / Merge Down
LEAVE IN POSITION
Paste Flower3 as new layer
Resize by 10%
Layers / Merge / Merge Down

 

Duplicate
Place one Flower over the centre of the Bow
Place the other alongside the hearts
Duplicate and position this one

 

Paste Flower as new layer
Resize by 15%
Place behind one of the flowers beside the hearts

 

Crop and resize

 

 

~ Step 3 ~

 

Select your Preset Shape Tool to Ellipse
Foreground - #000000
Background - null

 

Hold your Shift key and draw out a circle around your tag

 

Objects / Align / Centre in Canvas

 

Select your Text Tool with your font of choice (I am using Cheri)
Choose a colour from your tube

 

Foreground - null
Background - #e92d70 (colour I am using)

 

Type out your text of choice on the curve
Position to your liking

 

In your Layer Palette open the Vector Layer and hide the Ellipse
Convert to raster layer

 

Add some noise - 15

 

Effects / Plugins / Eye Candy 4000 / Gradient Glow with the following settings:
Glow width - 3.00
Soft corners - 25
Opacity - 100
Setting - Fat
Colour - White

 

Apply a drop shadow:
H & V - 1
Opacity - 30
Blur - 3.00
Colour - #35190f

 

Select your Text Tool again
Same colour and font
Objects / Align / Horizontal Centre in Canvas
Convert to raster layer
Apply the same effects as above

 

Finally, add your © copyright, licence and watermark

 

Then save as a GIF or JPG and you're done!

~ Step 1 ~

 

Open a new 600 x 600 blank canvas flood-filled white

 

Open Paper1 and Paper9
Resize both to 400 x 400
And then minimise

 

Select your Preset Shapes Tool to Ellipse and click on your Background in the Materials Palette
In Material Properties, select Patterns and choose Paper1

 

Draw out a circle

 

Objects / Align / Centre in Canvas
Convert to raster layer

 

In Material Properties change your pattern to Paper9

 

Draw out another circle over the first one
Use the nodes to align circle to the exact size
Resize by 90%

 

Paste ScallopBack4 as new layer
Resize by 50%
Leave in position

 

Paste FleurRouge (supplied) as new layer
Resize by 10%

 

LEAVE IN POSITION

 

Effects / Plugins / Mura Meister / Copies with the following settings:

 

 

Layers / Arrange / Send to Bottom

 

Your canvas should now look like this:

Duplicate then Image / Mirror

Background - #91a767 (or one to match your tube)

 

Type out the words "All about Love, Peace & Flowers" or words of your choice

 

In Layer Palette turn off visibility of Ellipse
Convert to raster layer

 

Effects / Plugins / Eye Candy 4000 / Gradient Glow with the following settings:

 

 

Select another font if you wish or use the same - I am using Daffodil

 

Type out your name
Objects / Align / Horizontal Centre in Canvas
Convert to raster layer
Apply same Gradient Glow as above

 

Finally, add your © copyright, licence and watermark

 

Save as a GIF and you're done!

Easter Bunny Wishes

Supplies

Tube/s of choice - I am using the delightful artwork of Suzanne Richards which can be purchased from CILM

Template # by Cheri (supplied)
WSL_Mask149 by Chelle (supplied)
Fonts of choice - I am using Bickham Script Fancy and 2Peas Flea Market (both are pay fonts)

~ Step 1 ~

 

Open Template 3 by Cheri
Duplicate (Shift D) and close off original
Delete watermark layer

 

Activate background
Image / Canvas Resize to 650 x 500
Flood fill the excess areas white

 

Activate BOTTOM LONG BAR layer
Using your magic wand click inside the BAR
Selections / Modify / Feather by 2
Open RoseBkg8 and paste as new layer
Resize by 70%
Selections / Invert
Delete
Deselect

 

Activate BOTTOM SHORT BAR
Clickin inside it
Selections / MOdify / Expand by 2
Open RoseBkg14 and paste as new layer
Resize by 70%
Selections / Invert
Delete
Deselect

 

Activate BOTTOM FAT BAR
Click the area inside it
Selections / Modify / Expand by 2
Paste RoseBkg8 as new layer
Resize by 70%
Selections / Invert
Delete
Deselect

 

Activate TOP LONG BAR
Repeat the above steps alternating the papers
So now you should have something that looks like this:

 

Delete all the LONG, SHORT and FAT BARS from the template
Hide your Frame and Background
Layers / Merge / Merge Visible
Rename this later to BARS if you wish for easier identification

~ Step 2 ~

 

Activate your Frame layer
With your magic wand click each section of the frame till you have them all with marching ants around them:

Selections / Modify / Feather by 2
Open RoseBkg7 and paste as new layer
Resize by 70% and place in position of marching ants
Selections / Invert
Delete
Deselect

 

Activate your Frame layer again
Using your Selection Tool draw out a rectangle around each one
OR (do as I did)
Use your Magic Wand and click inside each frame,

and again in the shadow so ALL the frame space has marching ants around it

(whichever is easiest for you as both methods work fine - I'm just a magic wand girl...lol)

 

Selections / Modify / Expand by 3

 

Activate your BARS layer

 

Paste RoseBkg14 as new layer
Resize if you wish or leave it as is - up to you

 

Selections / Invert
Delete
Deselect

 

Activate Frame layer again
With your magic wand (Tolerance & Feather 0) click inside each of the flowers
Select RoseBkg9 and paste as new layer
Selections / Invert
Delete

 

KEEP SELECTED!!

 

Selections / Invert
Selections / Modify / Expand by 2
Activate Frame Layer (yes, again...lol)
Add new raster layer
Flood fill with #ac2a57 (or a colour matching the kit and tube you are using)
Deselect

 

 

~ Step 3 ~

 

Paste BunnyNBow as new layer
Resize by 35% then Image / Mirror
Position over the frame to the left

 

Paste BunnyNBow3 as new layer
Resize by 45%
Position to the right opposite the other bunny

 

Your bunnies should be the top two layers (above the frame)
Ensure they are level - to do so, rest the feet of both under the FAT BAR at the bottom

Now with your Magic Wand click inside the two outer frames (and the shadows) so that the whole area of the frame is selected

 

Selections / Modify / Feather by 2
Selections / Invert

 

Now activating each bunny layer carefully erase the excess - leaving the bow around the bunnies'necks overhanging
You may want to use your Freehand Tool for this

 

 

~ Step 4 ~

 

Paste your tube as a new layer and resize as necessary
Position in centre frame to your liking
Again with your magic wand click the area inside the frame and the shadow

 

Selections / Modify / Feather by 2

 

Selections / Invert

 

Now carefully erase the bottom of your tube leaving hands or bows, or whatever else there may be, overhanging
Set your eraser to a medium small size and your hardness to around 80

 

Paste several eggs, rotating some either way and scattering them about
Resize each by 20%

 

Paste some flowers on either end of the frame
Resize and position to your liking

 

Add any extra elements you wish!
Make this creation YOUR OWN *g*

 

 

~ Step 5 ~

 

Activate Background layer
Paste Rosebkg12 as new layer

 

Layers / New Mask Layer / From Image
Locate WSL_Mask149
Source Luminance
OK

 

Layers / Merge / Merge Group

 

Crop and resize tag

 

In your Material Palette set your background to #7cc281 (or a colour matching the scrap kit you use)

 

Select your Text Tool and choose a font
(I am using Bickham Script Fancy)

 

Type out whatever text you like at the top

(I tossed between "Easter Wishes" and "Easter Bunny Wishes"

but the latter was a little too long and didn't look right *LOL*)

 

Objects / Align / Horizontal Centre in Canvas
Convert to raster layer

 

Apply a Gradient Glow:

 

Add your name, © copyright, licence and watermark and you're done!

Tube of choice - I am using the tube Ready to Pounce (supplied)
WSL_Mask41 by Chelle (supplied)
Fonts of choice - I am using BabyKruffy and Girls are Weird (supplied)
Eye Candy 4000 Glass
Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow (optional)
Any other elements/brushes of choice

~ Step 1 ~

Open Mask and fonts and minimise for later

Open Template and duplicate (shift D) then close off original

Click on the FRAME BACK layer with your magic wand
Add new raster layer
Open your PetBkg13, copy and paste into selection
Deselect

Click on the FRAME layer
Selections / Modify / Feather by 2
Add new raster layer
Open PetBkg12, copy and paste into selection
Deselect

Activate the FLOWER layer
Selections / Float then Selections / Defloat
Add new raster layer
Open PetBkg1, copy and paste as selection
Deselect

I decided to leave the STITCH layer white but you can colour it if you wish using the same step as above
Delete original FLOWER, FRAME BACK and FRAME layers

~ Step 2 ~

Open Flowers1, 2, 3 and 4
Resize them by 25%
Paste Flowers 2 and 3 to the left of the template
Paste Flowers 1 and 4 then Image / Mirror each and position to the right

Paste Ready To Pounce Kitten as new layer
Position in centre of canvas
Paste PetBow3 as new layer
Resize by 20% and position over the ribbon on the little kitty's tail

Still on the Bow go to
Adjust / Hue & Saturation / Colourise with the following settings:

Duplicate then blend mode to Multiply
Layers / Merge / Merge Down

You should now have something like this:

~ Step 3 ~

Activate your white BACKGROUND layer
Open PetBkg14 and paste as new layer
Resize by 85%
Layers / New Mask Layer / From Image
Locate WSL_Mask41 from the drop down list
Fit to Canvas
Source Luminance checked
Invert mask Data UNchecked
OK

Layers / Merge / Merge Group
Reduce opacity of this layer to 65

Crop and resize tag

~ Step 4 ~

Now it's time to let your creativity flow! *s*
Add any elements, brushes or what-have-you you like to make the tag "your own"
Add drop shadows to your elements and template

To add any brushes, don't forget to Add a new raster layer

Type out the words SPRING INTO ACTION in a nice bold font
(I used Baby Kruffy whis I supplied)
Using one of the pink Papers for my background and my foreground on White (stroke width 1.0)
Effects / Plugins / Eye Candy 4000 / Glass with the following settings:

Repeat Glass effect once more

Choose a colour from your tag to use for your text, then type out your name in a font of your choice

Add Gradient Glow as I did to make it stand out, and then apply a drop shadow

Add your ©copyright and watermark and you're done!

~ Step 1 ~

Open WSL_Mask133 and GeeohHmk font and minimise for later

Open new image 550 x 550 with a white background

Paste FlowerFrame3 as new layer and resize by 70%
Paste PetBkg5 as new layer and resize by 50%
Activate frame layer and click inside the circle with your magic wand
Selections / Modify / Expand by 5
Selections / Invert
Delete

KEEP SELECTED

Selections / Invert
Adjust / Blur / Gaussian Blur
Radius: 10.00
Deselect

Paste tube as new layer and resize as necessary
Position to your liking then with on the frame layer once again click your magic wand inside the frame
Selections / Modify / Feather
Selections / Invert
Selections / Modify / Contract by 2
Set your eraser to a size around 20 and hardness to about 50
(depends on your tube and how much you wish to erase)
Carefully erase the bottom of the tube overhanging the frame
Deselect

~ Step 2 ~

Paste Flowers2 as new layer and resize by 20%
Position to the left of the frame
Paste Flowers3 as new layer and resize by 20%
Image / Mirror and position to the right opposite the first flowers

Paste PinkBow as new layer and resize by 15%
Position to the left on the wire on the frame
Duplicate then Image / Mirror
Position to the right (see my tag for reference)

Paste Heart1 as new layer and resize by 35%
Position on the top right of the frame
Paste Heart2 as new layer and resize by 30%
Position with Heart1
(see below)

Paste Text-LoveDog/Cat as new layer
Resize by 50%
Position along the bottom of the frame

Paste PetBkg3 as new layer
Layers / Arrange / Send to Bottom
Resize by 70%
Layers / New mask Layer / From Image
Locate WSL_Mask133 from drop down menu
Fit to Layer CHECKED
Source luminance checked
Invert Mask Data UNchecked
OK

Layers / Merge / Merge Group
Position mask layer behind frame so that it's central

You should now have something like this:

Type out your name as Vector in a nice font of your choice

Adjust / Add/Remove Noise / Add Noise
