Once Bitten...He's Mine!



Supplies

Scrap kit of choice - I am using "Fangtasia" by Cora's Creations available from Sophisti-Scraps
Tube of choice - I am using the artwork of Zindy Nielsen which is available with a licence from her store
**PLEASE DO NOT USE HIS ARTWORK WITHOUT THE APPROPRIATE LICENCE**
DBV Mask 58 available here
Fonts of choice - I am using Whackadoo Upper
Plugins: Eye Candy 4000 > Gradient Glow and HSB Noise


Let's begin...


Open a new 750 x 500 blank canvas flood-filled white

Paste Frame03 as new layer
No need to resize

Select inside of Frame with Magic Wand
Selections > Modify > Expand by 5
Paste Paper of choice as new layer
Selections > Invert
Delete

KEEP SELECTED!!

Paste Tube (or image) of choice as new layer
Resize as necessary and position
Delete excess and deselect

Paste BloodDrip as new layer
Resize by 73%
Position along bottom of Frame
With your Selection Tool make a selection around the excess WITHIN the Frame and edging



Delete then deselect

Paste Tree as new layer
Resize by 60%
Position to the right

Grab your Selection Tool and make a selection from the bottom of the Frame and around the bottom of the tree
Delete then deselect



Paste Flower02 as new layer
Resize by 30%
Position to the lower right

Paste LilFlower as new layer
Resize by 50%
Position alongside Flower02

Paste Cup as new layer
Resize by 20%
Position in lower left

Paste Flower03 (red rose) as new layer
Image > Rotate by 20 to the left
Resize by 30%
Position to the lower left slightly to the left of Cup
Duplicate, then Image > Mirror, then
Image > Rotate by 10 to the left
Place alongside first rose and erase any excess, blending roses together

Paste Bow02 as new layer
Image > Mirror, then
Image > Rotate by 10 to the left
Resize by 25% and position over the roses



Paste Paper as new layer
Layers > Arrange > Send to Bottom
Resize by 130%

Layers > New Mask Layer > From Image
Apply DBV Mask 58
OK
Layers > Merge > Merge Group
Resize by 95%
Lower opacity to 30

Paste Splatter as new layer
Image > Flip
Resize by 85%

Crop and resize to liking

Select Text Tool and font of choice
I am using Whackadoo Upper
Text colour black
Position to liking
Convert to raster layer
Apply any effects and drop shadow of choice

Select another font of choice
I am using the same font (cause I think it's cute...lol) and same text colour
Objects > Align > Horizontal Centre in Canvas
Convert to raster layer
Apply any effects and drop shadow of choice

Finally, add your © copyright, licence and watermark, then save as a GIF or JPG and you're done!

Activate your Tube layer and merge with Frame background if you didn't use an Image
If you used an image just continue to next step

Duplicate twice and rename Image1, Image2 and Image3

Activate Image1

Effects > Plugins > Eye Candy 4000 > HSB Noise with the following settings:



Activate Image2 and repeat Noise effect, adjusting the random seed

Activate Image3 and repeat once again

Now to animate!

Hide Image2 and Image3 and activate Image1
Edit > Copy Merged

Open Animation Shop
Edit > Paste as New Animation

Activate Image2
Edit > Copy Merged

Open Animation Shop
Edit > Paste as New Animation

Sexy Spook



Supplies

Tube of choice - I am using images of PinUpGirl Clothing which are free to use with the proper credit and link on finished tags

Plugins: Xero > Radiance and Porcelain
Eye Candy 4000 > Gradien Glow


Easy animation tutorial


Let's begin...


Open a new 750 x 600 blank canvas flood-filled white

Paste Frame2 as new layer
Resize by 45%

LEAVE IN POSITION!!

Paste Frame3 as new layer
Resize by 45%

Adjust > Hue & Saturation > Colourise with the following settings:



Duplicate, then set blend mode to Multiply
Lower opacity to 60
Layers > Merge > Merge Down

Now open your Layer Palette
Click ONCE on the Layer Link Toggle
Activate your first frame and click the Layer Link Toggle again



This will LOCK the layers so you can move them both together

Move layers to the left
Click Layer Link Toggle twice again on both layers to UNLOCK them

Duplicate Frame2, then Image > Mirror



Layers > Merge > Merge Down

Duplicate Frame3 and Image > Mirror also
Layers > Merge > Merge Down

Rename Frame layers PURPLE FRAMEs and ORANGE FRAMES
Hide ORANGE FRAMES and let's work with the PURPLE FRAMES

Select inside frames with your Magic Wand
Selections > Modify > Expand by 10
Add a new raster layer
Flood fill black
Layers > Arrange > Move Down

KEEP SELECTED!!

Paste a Tube of choice as new layer
Resize as necessary
Delete surrounding excess
Deselect

Effects > Plugins > Xero > Radiance with default settings

Effects > Plugins > Xero > Porcelain with default settings

Duplicate, then Image > Mirror



Activate top layer

Paste Spider as new layer
Resize by 50%
Position at the top between the Frames with the spider dangling down
This will join our Frames

Open up the CrossStitching_sandi file
Choose the stitching you wish to use and paste it as a new layer to your working canvas
Resize by 80%
Position in the join toward top of the two Frames
Duplicate three more times and position along join



Layers > Merge > Merge Down till all stitching is one layer

Paste Cat as new layer
Resize by 25%
Position between frames towards bottom
Duplicate then set blend mode to Multiply
Layers > Merge > Merge Down

Effects > Plugins > Eye Candy 4000 > Gradient Glow with the following settings:



Paste Spider as new layer
Image > Mirror
Resize by 55%
Position to the left

Duplicate, then Image > Mirror
Resize by 90%
Position directly opposite first spider

Paste another Tube of choice as new layer
Resize as necessary
Position to the right (or to liking)

Effects > Plugins > Xero > Radiance with default settings

Paste Paper of choice as new layer
Layers > Arrange > Send to Bottom

Layers > New Mask Layer > From Image
Apply DBV_Mask_07

Layers > Merge > Merge Group

Use your Selection Tool to make a selection around the centre area between Frames
Delete then deselect



Crop and resize to liking

Select Text Tool and font of choice
I am using Crucifix-S
Foreground - #000000
Background - #643983
Type out text of choice
Objects > Align > Horizontal Centre in Canvas
Convert to raster layer
Apply a drop shadow of choice

Selection another font of choice
I am using LiorahBT
Text colour - #643983
Type out your name
Objects > Align > Horizontal Centre in Canvas
Convert to raster layer
Apply a slight gradient glow

Finally, add your © copyright, licence and watermark, then save as a GIF or JPG and you're done!

Activate the PURPLE FRAMES layer
Edit > Copy Merged

Open Animation Shop

Open Template 96 by Kristin
Shift D to duplicate and close off original
Delete Credit and WordArt2 layers

Image > Canvas Resize 650 x 500 centred

Select Rectangle layer with Magic Wand
Selections > Modify > Feather by 2
Paste Paper of choice as new layer
Resize by 65%
Selections > Invert
Delete then deselect

Paste MoonBats as new layer

LEAVE IN POSITION!!

Duplicate and set blend mode to Multiply
Layers > Merge > Merge Down

Paste Spider Web as new layer
Resize by 45%
Position to the far left of template
Erase excess beneath WordArt



Duplicate, then Image > Mirror
Position to the lower far right
Erase any excess

Layers > Merge > Merge Down
Lower opacity to 20

Select each star on the Stars layer

Paste PP17 INTO selection

LEAVE IN POSITION!

Set blend mode to Screen

Select Preset Shape Tool and set to Ellipse
Foreground - #000000
Background - null
Width - 15.00

Hold shift key down and draw out circle the same size as the circle of your Mask
Objects > Align > Centre in Canvas
Convert to raster layer

Effects > Plugins > Eye Candy 4000 > Glass with the following settings:



Paste Flowers of various colours as new layers
Resize by 30%
(Rotate one or two by 25 to the left)
Position to liking
It may look hap-hazard now but once you add your Tube it will blend in
Alternatively you can add your Tube first and then paste the flowers, positioning them behind your tube
Erase any excess you wish to your liking

Paste Tube of choice as new layer
Use your Freehand Tool to draw along the inside of your Frame around the bottom excess of Tube
Selections > Invert
Selections > Modify > Feather by
Carefully erase the excess
Deselect

Reposition flowers to fit around Tube then merge Flowers into one layer

Paste Bat as new layer
Image > Rotate by 20 to right
Resize by 10 - 15%%
Duplicate then Image > Mirror
Position to your liking

Crop and resize to liking

Select Text Tool and font of choice
I am using BoneHymie
Text colour black
Objects > Align > Horizontal Centre in Canvas
Convert to raster layer
Apply Gradient Glow and drop shadow of choice

Edit > Copy Merged

Let's begin...


Open a new 600 x 450 blank canvas flood-filled white

Paste Frame1 as new layer
Resize by 70%

Select inside the Frame with your Magic Wand
Selections > Modify > Expand by 10
Paste Paper of choice as new layer
Resize by 70%
Adjust > Blur > Gaussian Blur with a Radius of 10.00
Selections > Invert
Delete
Layers > Arrange > Move Down

KEEP SELECTED!!

Add a new raster layer
Open your Material Properties and select Gradient
Locate NGBlackBlue Gradient
Invert CHECKED



Flood fill layer with Gradient
Deselect
Lower opacity to around 55
Layers > Merge > Merge Down

Activate top layer

Paste SpookyHouse as new layer
Resize by 80% and position

Select inside of Frame once more
Selections > Invert
Use your Eraser to erase the excess from sides and bottom (leave top overhanging)



Deselect

Paste Moon as new layer
Resize by 20%
Position somewhere in the sky to your liking

Paste Star as new layer

Duplicate as many times as you like and scatter about the sky
Once you are happy with your amount, close off ALL layers EXCEPT for the Stars, then

Unhide layers again

Image > Rotate by 20 to the left
Resize by 12%
Dupliate, then Image > Mirror
Position above Frame to liking

Paste Tube of choice as new layer
Resize as necessary and position

Effects > Plugins > Xero > Improver with default settings

Duplicate

Effects > Plugins > Xero > Radiance with default settings

Lower opacity to around 25
Layers > Merge > Merge Down

Add new raster layer
Layers > Arrange > Send to Bottom
Flood fill black

Layers > New Mask Layer > From Image
Apply DBV_Mask_02

Effects > Plugins > dsb Flux > Linear Transmission with the following settings:



Lower opacity to around 80

Crop and resize to liking

Apply the Porcelain filter to each of your elements to your liking

Convert to raster layer
Apply Gradient Glow and drop shadow of choice

Finally, add your © copyright, licence and watermark, then save as a GIF or JPG and you're done!

Activate your Cauldron layer
Add three new raster layers and name them Cauldron1, Cauldron2 and Cauldron3

With your Freehand Tool draw a selection around the top of your Cauldron where you want it "bubbling"



Activate Cauldron1

Effects > Plugins > Alien Skin Eye Candy 5: Nature > Smoke with the following setting:



Hide Cauldron1 and activate Cauldron2
Repeat Smoke, adjusting Random Seed

Hide Cauldron2 and activate Cauldron3
Repeat Smoke again, adjusting Random Seed

**I couldn't decide whether to animate the pumpkins or not...so I've included this next step for those who may want to**

Activate one of the Pumpkins
With your Magic Wand, select the Eyes, nose and mouth of the Pumpkin
Selections > Modify > Feather by 2



Add new raster layer and name LIGHTING
Flood fill are with Yellow

Now to animate!

Activate Cauldron1 and LIGHTING layers
Edit > Copy Merged

Open Animation Shop
Edit > Paste as New Animation

Hide Cauldron1 and activate Cauldron2
(keep LIGHTING visible also)
Edit > Copy Merged

Open Animation Shop
Edit > Paste as New Animation

Hide Cauldron2 and activate Cauldron3, with LIGHTING still visible

Activate Cauldron1 and hide LIGHTING layer

Open a new 750 x 600 blank canvas flood-filled white

Paste Frame06 as new layer

LEAVE IN POSITION!!

Adjust > Hue & Saturation > Colourise with the following settings:



Select inside the Frames with your Magic Wand
Selections > Modify > Expand by 10
Paste Paper of choice as new layer
Resize by 70%
Selections > Invert
Delete
Layers > Arrange > Move Down

KEEP SELECTED!!

Paste three images or tubes as new layers
Resize as necessary and position inside frames
Delete excess
Deselect

Merge them as one layer (for now)

Duplicate images and set the blend mode of the originals to Luminance (Legacy)
Lower the opacity of the duplicates to around 40 - 50 (depending on colours)

Effects > Plugins > Xero > Improver with the default settings

Duplicate again

Effects > Plugins > Xero > Radiance with default settings
Lower opacity to 20

Hide your Background and Frame, leaving ONLY the image layers visible
Layers > Merge > Merge Visible
Unhide layers again

Now we are going to promote each image into a layer again
Select your first Frame with your Magic Wand
Selections > Modify > Expand by 10



Activate image
Layers > Promote Selection to Layer
Deselect

Select middle Frame and repeat above step
Repeat same with the third Frame also
Rename each promoted layer for identification - ONE, TWO and THREE

Paste Dead Bush as new layer
Layers > Arrange > Send to Bottom
Position to the right



Image > Mirror
Effects > Plugins > Simple > Top Left Mirror



Activate top layer

Paste Chain as new layer
Resize by 25%
Position to the left
Duplicate, then Image > Mirror
Duplicate again and place in the centre between the two chains
Layers > Merge > Merge Down
Repeat to become one layer

Paste Skulls as new layer
Resize by 30%
Position to your liking
Repeat Hue & Saturation as above

Paste Pumpkin02 as new layer
Resize by 25%
Duplicate and repeat Hue & Saturation as above
Lower opacity to 50
Layers > Merge > Merge Down
Position to liking
Duplicate again, then Image > Mirror
Resize by 70%
Position alongside larger pumpkin

Paste Coffin as new layer
Image > Rotate by 10 to the right
Resize by 55%
Position to the right
Layers > Arrange > Send to Bottom
Duplicate, then Image > Rotate by 10 to the left
Layers > Arrange Move Down
Positin BEHIND first coffin
Layers > Merge > Merge Down
Duplicate, then Image > Mirror
Layers > Merge > Merge Down
Lower opacity to 20

Paste a Moon of choice as new layer
Send to Bottom
Resize as necessary

Colourise with a Hue & Saturation set to 0
Adjust > Brightness & Contrast
Brightness - 50
Contrast - 0

Adjust > Blur > Gaussian Blur with a radius of around 10.00
Lower opacity to around 40

Crop and resize to liking

Select Text Tool and fonts of choice
I am using LD Twylight and LiorahBT
Text colour is Black

Type out your text of choice and position to liking
Best to type each "line" as separate vectors and then convert each layer to raster - that way you can move them around and position to liking
Apply any effects and drop shadow of choice
Lower opacity to 5 and 15

Select another font of choice
I am using Centime
Objects > Align > Horizontal Centre in Canvas
Convert to raster layer
Apply any effect and drop shadow of choice

Finally, add your © copyright, licence and watermark, then save as a GIF or JPG and you're done!


** IF YOU WISH TO ANIMATE PLEASE FOLLOW THESE NEXT STEPS **

Activate your ONE, TWO and THREE layers
Set the blend mode of each to Screen, then
Lower the opacity to 75

Activate ONE and hide the other two
Edit > Copy Merged

Open Animation Shop
Edit > Paste as New Animation

Hide ONE and activate TWO
Edit > Copy Merged

Open Animation Shop
Edit > Paste as New Animation

Hide TWO and activate THREE
Edit > Copy Merged

Open Animation Shop
Edit > Paste as New Animation

Select all and change Frame Properties to 50
Now save as a GIF and you're done!

Pumpkin Cookie



Supplies

Scrap kit of choice - I am using "Spookylicious" by Laura's Designs available from Twilight Scraps
Tube of choice - I am using the Halloween Cookie poser artwork of Lisa of Sophisticated Scraps which is PTU available from her store
NGBlackBlue Gradient here
Fonts of choice - I am using Valken and CaseConected
Plugins: Mura Meister > Copies
Greg's Factory Output II > Pool Shadow


Let's begin...


Open a new 600 x 600 blank canvas flood-filled white

Paste BlackRose as new layer
Resize by 15%

LEAVE IN POSITION!!

Effects > Plugins > Mura Meister > Copies with the following settings:



Paste Pumpkin as new layer
Resize by 20%

LEAVE IN POSITION!!

Repeat Mura Meister > Copies with the same settings
Resize by 105%
Layers > Merge > Merge Down

Select inside your new Frame
Selections > Modify > Expand by 10
Add a new raster layer
Flood fill black
Layers > Arrange > Move Down

KEEP SELECTED!!

Add a new raster layer
Select your Materials Palette
Open Material Properties and select Gradients tab
Find your NGBlackBlue Gradient
Invert CHECKED



OK
Flood fill layer
Deselect
Lower opacity to 50
Layers > Merge > Merge Down

Paste Moon and Bats as new layer
Resize by 60%
Position in upper corner to liking
Duplicate

Activate bottom copy
Adjust > Blur > Gaussian Blur with a radius of 20.00

Select the area outside the paper background layer
Selections > Invert
Activate both Moon layers and press delete

KEEP SELECTED!!

Paste Witch Silouhette as new layer
Image > Rotate by 5 to the left
Resize by 25%
Position to the left
Duplicate three times and position them across the width from the left to right
Delete the overhanging excess from the first and last witches



Name them Witch1, Witch2, witch3 and Witch4
Hide them for now - we'll come back to them for the animation

Activate top layer

Paste your Tube as new layer
Resize as necessary and position to liking

Paste Spider Web as new layer
Layers > Arrange > Send to Bottom
Resize by 90%

Adjust > Blur > Radial Blur with the following settings:



Duplicate, then Layers > Merge > Merge Down
Resize layer by 95%

Crop and resize tag
Image > Canvas Resize 520 x 520

Effects > Texture Effects > Antique - Mosaic with the following settings:



Select your Preset Shape Tool and set to Ellipse
Foreground - #000000
Background - null
Width - 2.00

Hold your shift key down and draw out a circle around your tag
Use the nodes to resize circle to liking

Select your Text Tool and font of choice
I am using Valken
Foreground - #000000
Background - #eb6602 (to match tag)
Stroke width 2.00

Type out text of choice on curve and position to liking



Open Layer Palette and Vector Layer
Close off Ellipse and convert to raster layer

Effects > Plugins > Greg's Factory Output II > Pool Shadow with default settings
Repeat Pool Shadow effect again, adjusting the top six slides to 100

Activate top layer

Select another font of choice
I am using CaseConected
Same text colours
Type out your name
Objects > Align > Horizontal Centre in Canvas
Convert to raster layer

Repeat above Pool Shadow ONCE
Apply drop shadow of choice

Finally, add your © copyright, licence and watermark, then save as a GIF or JPG and you're done!

Remember those Witches we duplicated earlier?

OK activate Witch1 and keep the remaining three hidden
Edit > Copy Merged

Open Animation Shop
Edit > Paste as New Animation

Back to PSP
Hide Witch1 and activate Witch2
Edit > Copy Merged

In Animation Shop
Edit > Paste After Current Frame

Back to PSP
Hide Witch2 and activate Witch3
Edit > Copy Merged

In Animation Shop
Edit > Paste After Current Frame

Back to PSP
Hide Witch3 and activate Witch4
Edit > Copy Merged

In Animation Shop
Edit > Paste After Current Frame

Back to PSP
Hide Witch4 so none of them are visible
Edit > Copy Merged

In Animation Shop
Edit > Paste After Current Frame

You should have a total of 5 Frames

Select All, then change Frame Properties to 40
Activate the last Frame (the one with NO witches in) and change Frame Properties to 100

Now save as a GIF and you're done!
